Dr. Joyce Penner

Dr. Joyce Penner is a professor and associate chair at AOSS, and a review editor for the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

For the IPCC, she read over a thousand reader comments and used them to provide authors with helpful feedback.

She says her role is to “make sure the document maintains a good outside view.â€
