"From the point of view of taking students to observe the process of how the world is organizing (or not) to address the impacts of global warming the conference was a great success. There was exposure to community-based adaptation, financing responses to climate change, new transportation technology, and the complete spectrum of the U.S. approach to climate change. The list could go on. Some of these efforts are simply inspiring. On the other hand, the complex issues that motivate interest groups and rich and poor countries, issues that confound the development of a policy response, are revealed in their total rawness."
AOSS Professor Richard Rood talking about his recent experience attending the COP15 Copenhagen Conference on Climate Change.
